Add New Sand Control

Add sand control to the database. In poorly consolidated sandstone formations, grains of sand that make up the sandstone are pulled loose from the formation and carried off by the fluid flow. With no proper sand control, operational problems might arise that cause a decrease in productivity, loss of well control, etc.  Use sand control to facilitate sand control activities.

Steps

1. Select ProNet>Sand Control.
   The Sand Control Data window opens.

2. Click .
   OR
   Click .
   A blank sand control line is enabled.
   

3. Type the sequence number in the # field starting with 1 and uniquely identifying the sand control activity.
   Note: Each subsequent test is one number higher than the previous one used.

4. Select the Sand Control Equipment Type from the drop-down list.

5. Type the String Length.

6. Type the Design Life for the sand control activity.

7. Type the Top Depth of the sand control activity.

8. Type the Bottom Depth of the sand control activity.

9. Type the Screen Outside Diameter (OD) used for the sand control activity.

10. Type the Screen Weight used for the sand control activity.

11. Type the Screen Mesh used for the sand control activity.
