Add production string testing to the database.
Steps
Select ProNet>Production
String Testing.
The Packer Data window opens.
Click .
OR
.
A blank pressure line is enabled.
Type the sequence number in the
# field starting with 1 and
uniquely identifying the production string testing.
Note: Each subsequent test
is one number higher than the previous one used.
Select the Production
String from the drop-down list.
Note: The production string
information is retrieved from information entered on the Production
String window.
Select the Test
Date/Time to designate the time the production string was tested.
Tip: Use to clear
the date, hour and minute fields.
Select the Spool
Date/Time to specify the time the production string was spooled.
Tip: Use to clear
the date, hour and minute fields.
Select the String Type from the drop-down list. Here are the choices:
Coil Tubing - Provides oilfield spooled coiled tubing production and completion strings assembled at the surface to include sensors and one or more controlled devices which can be tested from a remote location. The strings preferably include conductors and hydraulic lines in the coiled tubing. The conductors provide power and data communication between the sensors, devices and surface instrumentation. The coiled tubing strings are tested at the assembly site and transported to the wellsite on reels. The coiled tubing strings are inserted and retrieved from the wellbores using an adjustable opening injector head system. This invention provides method of making electro-coiled-tubing where upper and lower adapters are connected to the coiled tubing and tested prior to transporting the string to the wellbore. The string should include pressure barriers at both ends of the string. The string also includes a power line, hydraulic lines, data and communication lines and the desired sensors and devices for use with an electrical submersible pump.
Wireline - Any line of wire or cable used for downhole operations. There are usually three types of wireline:
Piano - a thin, single-strand line of high tensile steel.
Braided - a multiple strand line, both used to lower instruments or tools into a well and install, retrieve or operate “wireline equipment” e .g subsurface safety valves installed in tubing. The braided wire is used for heavier wireline equipment.
Electric Wireline - normally used for surface recording instruments, e .g those used for making electric logs. For example, some wireline tools are plugs, chokes, gas lift valves, safety valves, etc.
